A photographer from Glasgow, Scotland.
Lorna is from Glasgow, Scotland where she studied Art and Photography. Since she moved to Conna, East Cork in 2007 she has enjoyed photographing the local landscape and people.
Her work displays her love of Ireland’s natural light. “I find that ‘straight’ digital photography doesn’t quite tell the story or depict what I felt or witnessed when I took the image the way that film used to do. A lot of my images are worked up in layers in post-production. I sometimes visit places more than once and build up an image with multiple layers of textures and painted light. I like to look for patterns in nature and the unusual in life.”
Her work has been displayed in solo and group exhibitions in both in Ireland and Scotland. All her images are printed on exceptional, high quality art papers and are limited editions.
Lorna is more than happy to consider commission work.
